Below are our winners for the 2023-2024 School Year
Ethan Osiegbu
Appoquinmink High School
Ethan’s commitment to the community is exemplified through his collaboration as a water conservation and filtration project manager with NAFDAC to attack the water crisis. He also served as director of the community initiative, “Gloves up, guns down Wilmington.” In addition to his community service, Ethan is Appoquinimink High’s 2024 Class President, captain of the varsity football team, and vice president of the Black Student Union.
He plans to attend the University of Southern California and study Biological Sciences. Congratulations Ethan!
Logan Thompson
Appoquinmink High School
Logan exemplifies dedication to his community through his work as a volunteer firefighter for the Felton Fire Company. He is a member of Appo’s Marching Band, indoor percussion, and is an honor roll student. He plans to attend Delaware Technical Community College and study mechanics.

Aisha Fontaine
Middletown High School
Aisha’s dedication to the community is shown through her volunteer work as a leader in her church’s youth ministry team, her participation as a peer tutor, and as a volunteer swim coach. She is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Athletic Leadership Committee, and is the President of the Mock Trial Club at Middletown High School. She also holds officer positions with the Black Student Union, Best Buddies, and is captain of the swim team.
She plans to study law and politics. Congratulations Aisha!
Josselyn Reader
Odessa High School
Josselyn serves her community in a variety of ways by volunteering at Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library and the Middletown Historical Society, and serving as a project coordinator for the Salvation Army. Josselyn is a member of the National Honor Society, Leadership Council and the Odessa Golf Team. She plans to attend the University of Delaware and study English.
